SUMMARY:Singles Week Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Come serve with other singles at the Boardwalk Chapel\, an evangelistic ministry of the OPC in Wildwood\, New Jersey. BWC staff levels are lower in late summer so this is a great opportunity to serve alongside other singles and remaining BWC staff. \n  \nAssist the ministry while enjoying fellowship with other believers. Serve by praying\, inviting people on the boardwalk to the chapel’s evening program\, engaging people in conversations about the Lord or serving in other ways. Evangelism/apologetics training provided mid-day most weekdays. Boardwalk outreach is from 7 or 8 pm to midnight. \n  \nFree time in the morning and part of the afternoon for recreation/fellowship (or if you need to be working remotely). We’ll be staying at the staff houses along with remaining BWC staff who are there for part or all of the summer. Just bring bedding and towels. Dinner provided on weekdays. Kitchens are stocked with breakfast/lunch foods for people to prepare their own. Men’s staff house has Wifi\, women’s does not. Open to anyone over 18.; last year’s participants were 20s\, 30s\, 40s\, and 50+. \n  \nDates: August 10 – 17 \n  \nCost: $100 per day or $500 for the week. DESCRIPTION:Our final training conference of the summer for guests to attend! \nThis conference is led by our trainers Rev. Al Baker and Rev. Christopher Byrd and is all about growing in evangelism! It is designed to stir and equip people for evangelism in their local contexts. The week will offer “classroom” teaching by our trainers; “field” training with lots of opportunity to observe and/or participate in personal evangelism and open-air preaching with experienced evangelists and ministers; and plenty of fellowship and mutual encouragement. Among the topics covered: Personal Evangelism\, Biblical Street Preaching\, Evangelistic Preaching in the Church\, Gospel Apologetics\, Evangelism in the Local Church\, Biblical Revival\, and Biblical Revival Prayer.
